‘Prevention rather than cure’ is an age old mantra, but ultimately one which reflects a prudent approach to minimising trauma and discomfort throughout your life.

Here at Dental Pearls, we have the expertise and facilities to help you achieve and maintain your teeth and gums in optimum oral condition, for the immediate and long term future, helping you to feel and look your best.

By ensuring that the correct measures are taken in the everyday care of your teeth, the likelihood of dental problems can be greatly reduced. Coupled with regular checkups and cleaning, your ability to maintain optimum oral health is made increasingly straightforward.

Gum disease, tooth decay and trauma can all contribute to the negative experiences felt by many people, who neglect to seek dental care in the earlier stages of their lives. The subsequent effect which bad oral condition can have on the individual, both in terms of their health and sense of confidence, is often distressing.

Our team at Dental Pearls can provide you with a regular and necessary assessment of your oral condition and are able to equip you with the health and highest standard of care, needed to take you through life, unabated by dental complications.

We recommend that you visit us every six months, when you can see our hygienist Nancy Waine, for a thorough clean, or our dentist Dr Khatri, both of whom are here to provide you with the best care and attention, for all of your dental treatments at Dental Pearls.

Whilst caring for your teeth, away from the practice we advise the following routine points be followed, to maintain your greatest level of dental health, hygiene and appeal:

  • Brush your teeth at least twice daily with a toothpaste containing fluoride
  • Replace your toothbrush every three months or immediately following illness
  • Floss daily
  • Use a toothbrush to clean your tongue as well as teeth
  • Brush teeth in small, circular motions with a soft bristled brush
